Training of your pooch could be one of the most arduous tasks and may drive you nuts, but it is vital for your dog. One of the thumb rules to train your dog well is to do it when it is still a pup. The reason being, sometimes you could need professional help when it turns into an adult. Again, house training is bit more tough as the canines are genuinely not meant to be confide within a limited space like a small room.

There are various types of dog training techniques that makes your pooch sociable and adorable.

Different types of dog training, the reasons and technicality behind them:

    Managing Dog’s anxiety within car:

In case your pup is carsick, take the vet’s advice and do a trial run by providing him anti-nauseating pills. The best practice is to try it when your dog is still a pup and if it works, you are lucky enough.

Over exited dog trying to accompany you, where ever you go:

In case your dog is over excited and tries to pace you or barks non-stop for accompanying you anywhere you go, the best practice is to take him to some super boring destinations. The destinations could be driving to a grocery store or taking him for a ride around the block.

    Nervous Dog:

In case your dog is nervous about going for a ride. The best practice is to take him to some fun to be around places like a river side or park, it will reduce the nervousness that has usually arrived due to unpleasant visits to a vet or a dog groomer.

Ā Teaching dog not to growl:

Some dogs need lots of affection, love to be around human and enjoy petting. But not all dogs are that friendly and may growl at you once you start petting him. There are some common reasons associated with the behaviour such as anxiety, fear or pain. The symptoms associated with growling are as such: Lip licking, backing away, whale eyes and stiff body.

Some common steps in order to teach your dog to love petting are as follows:

    Pat:

Call your dog by giving a pat on the knees and if he does not turnover pause the interaction and do not get overwhelmed to command.

    Pet:

In case it turns over, pet his affectionately near the ears, shoulder and chest. Gently nub the fur.

    Pause:

Pet for three seconds then remove your hand and observe the reaction. If, he is comfortable and leans in pet more. Else, avoid petting.

This practice of pat, pet and pause will reinforce your bond with your pooch.

Again, never punish your dog for growling as it could lead your dog to feel more uncomfortable and even could retaliate with snapping or biting.

Teaching your dog to play fetch a ball:

At times you may feel that your dog is not playing a game with you and trying to keep the toy instead of enjoying fetch the ball. The reason behind it could be you are a bossy mate or either the dog finds the game to be boring and the toy to be interesting. So, if you really want your pooch to enjoy playing with you, do not try to be commanding and make the rules simple. Again, reward your pooch with treats sometimes as it turns over with the toy towards you.

Teach your pup that dropping the toy is a great idea and every time he drops the toy, toss away the toy immediately, bounce playfully and learn to be super-goofy. Doing so will make your pooch enjoy the game and regard you as a friendly master.

    Potty training of Dogs:

Undoubtedly potty training hits the priority list as one of the most basic training needs. Again, potty training takes time and is easier for bigger dogs as compared to dogs having small bladder, but it is a goal achievable over time. Here are some tricks of training puppy faster:

    1. Supervise your pooch every time while undertaking house training.
    2. Taking the dog out at frequent intervals is vital mostly after playing, eating, sleeping or drinking.
    3. Treat your pooch, whenever it going potty outside.
    4. Punish your dog if it poops inside.
    5. Learn about your dog’s warning signal and take it outside for potty.

Again, avoid punishing your puppy if it accidentally poops inside or is sick.

    Conclusion:

Training of your pooch is vital if you want him to be sociable and adorable. There are many training institutes that can take care of your dog’s training needs, especially, if you are a busy person or feel it an arduous job. Again, if you want your dog to serve special needs for the society take him to a training center, and let the experts train your dog to serve as a police dog or caregiver dog.
